Capwatt and the University of Évora (Renewable Energies Chair) are developing the HYBRIDSTORAGE project (P2020 - R&D Project in Co-Promotion).
 
This project aims to develop a new model for the sizing, control and energy management of Hybrid Battery Systems (HBS) with the objective of significantly improving their technical and economic performance.
 
The dimensioning tool and the energy management system will allow to simulate the operation of SHB in a real environment – at Sonae Campus, taking into account the combination of different battery technologies and the requirements of the final application, namely power, energy and costs.
 
The final results will contribute to the increasing implementation of intelligent and efficient energy management and storage systems and, consequently, to the decarbonization of the economy.
