Energy storage system

Capwatt has taken another step towards the sustainable energy transition! Innovating and anticipating the future, a pilot project for the storage of electrical energy was implemented at the Sonae Campus.

The system is based on lithium phosphate batteries, has a power of 320 kW and a capacity of 798 kWh, being managed in an integrated way in Capwatt's command and control center. This innovative project will make it possible to store and manage electricity in a sustainable manner, as well as maximize the use of production from photovoltaic plants, reducing costs and boosting renewable consumption.

This is the second electrical energy storage project managed by Capwatt, which now has 6.3 MW in operation, positioning itself as a pioneer company in this area.
